Over
1,000 entries are expected for the center piece sheep show. Morris Culver
willjudge the long wool sheep, while Dave Clouser chooses the best in the
mediumand fine wool classes. Cotswold breeders will hold their national
show in Maryland this year.
This year at the festival the Cotswold
National Show and the Lincoln Breeders will gather for their Eastern Regional
Show.
The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival has
many competitions - to name a few:
Sheep Show, Fleece Show and Sale, Spinning
Contests, Fine Arts Competition, Sheep Photo Contest,Youth Poster Contest,
Maryland Lamb & Wool Queen Contest, Maryland Grand Lamb Cook-Off, Skein
& Garment Competition, Shepherd's Lead Contest and the Sheep Shearing
contest.
