25th Anniversary
The 1998 Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival will be held Saturday and
Sunday, May 2nd and 3rd.
On Saturday, the grounds are open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Crafts buildings close at 6:00 p.m.
On Sunday, the grounds are open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Crafts buildings close at 5:00 p.m.
The Festival is always held the first full weekend in May.
Next year's Festival will be held May 1st and 2nd, 1999.

How to Get to the Howard Country Fairgrounds
The Howard County Fairgrounds on Route 144 in West Friendship, Maryland
is approximately 20-30 minutes from Baltimore, 25-35 minutes from Frederick
and
1 to 1 1/4 hours from Washington, D.C. Just off of Interstate 70, the Festival
is easily accessible by car from most points. The Baltimore-Washington
International Airport (BWI) is the nearest airport, about 45 minutes from
the fairgrounds.
Directions
From north of Baltimore:
- 95 South to 695 West, exit 64
- 695 West to 70 West, exit 16
- 70 West to 32 South, exit 80
- At first light, turn RIGHT onto 144 West
- Continue 1/2 mile to fairgrounds on RIGHT
From Frederick Maryland and points west:
- 70 East to 32 South, exit 80
- At first light, turn RIGHT onto 144 West Continue 1/2 mile to fairgrounds
on RIGHT
From Washington, D.C., northern Virginia and points south:
- 495/95 (Capital Beltway) to 95 North, exit 27
- 95 North to 32 North, exit 38
- Continue to LEFT on 144 West
- Continue 1/2 mile to fairgrounds on RIGHT
From Baltimore/Washington International Airport:
- Follow airport exit signs to 95 South
- 95 South to 32 North, exit 38
- Go about 10 miles, turn RIGHT on 108 East
- At second light, turn LEFT, back onto 32 North Continue to LEFT on
144 West
- Continue 1/2 mile to fairgrounds on RIGHT
